Burgau has 2 supermarkets that are useful for isolated items, but for a big shop Luz or Lagos are best. Luz has a large SPAR, Celerio and Baptista (cash point inside) Lagos has Intermarche, Modelo, Pingo Doce (2) Lidl and Aldi, and a small Ecomarche (this is open til late on a Sunday) on the Avenida, most of these have cashpoints either inside or outside. These you will find on the enclosed free maps. Also there is a large Ecomarche on the N125 at Budens, fuel is quite reasonable here too. Also Vila do Bispo has a large Lidl.
There is a good reliable bus service from Burgau to Luz(1eur 30) or Lagos(1 eur 50). It is the N04 ONDA BUS, and runs on an hourly basis from the bus shelter at the bottom of the road. The service to Luz leaves at 6 mins past the hour, and the service to Lagos leaves at 33 mins past the hour. To return from Luz to Burgau its 50 mins past the hour and to return from Lagos to Burgau from the bus station (Rodovario) it is 20 mins past the hour. These times are correct as of Feb 2010.
If you require WIFI there are numerous cafes in Burgau, Luz or Lagos that have free access, all you have to do is buy a drink. Also SILVA’S next door have free WIFI. If you need an actual PC then the Jardim Cafe in Luz, next door to the Post Office (Corrieos) has 3 machines and charge 1 euro for 30 minutes, they are closed on Sundays. Lagos has many more, including the library and the cultural centre.
