The nearest main airport to reach Burgau is Faro. This is a popular route from the UK with airlines such as British Airways, Jet2.com, BMI Baby, Easy Jet & Ryanair all servicing this route. It is important to shop around as the competition is high which is good for us holidaymakers.
Important Note - EasyJet baggage allowance is 20 kgs and If you plan on bringing your bike it will cost £18.50 each way for this.
Ryanair baggage allowance is only 15 kgs!! (And they charge £40 e/w for your bike!!)
BMI are in-between at 18kgs baggage allowance and £20 each way for your bike.
ZITAUTOS HIRE CAR.
The cheapest car rental company are ZITAUTOS
To obtain a price follow www.zitautos.co.uk they will confirm your booking once you have accepted their quote. If you can give them all your travel details like passport ref, flight number, and holiday address etc this will save time when you collect your car.
When you exit onto the concourse from baggage claim turn left and walk past all the people holding cards up and continue all the way down towards the departures end. You will pass a café on your right with tables in front. Directly behind that you should see the Zitautos man sitting on the chairs with a clip board, there maybe someone else already with him. Wait your turn and he will register you in, providing you have given them all the details when you made your booking this will only take a couple of minutes. Make sure you have the cash to pay as they do not take cards. He will give you your paperwork and direct you across the car park to Zone D (usually) there will be another person waiting there for you who will show you to your car. The vehicle will be registered under the electronic system for the airport so you won’t have to worry about the barriers they will just lift for you. There is a fuel station at the airport if you want to fill up, but there is usually half a tank anyway so not essential. Don’t worry if this all sounds a bit Mickey Mouse! They really are very efficient; we’ve used Zitautos loads of times and have never had a problem. They don’t have a kiosk in the airport, which enables them to give such good prices. If you don’t have a have a Sat Nav here are blow by blow directions.

If you wish to be driven from Faro direct to the villa we recommend checking out the Resort Hoppa. Yourself and other holiday makers will be picked up at Faro airport and dropped off at your accommodation. You can also arrange to be picked up on your day of departure and taken back to Faro airport.
The Resorthoppa will transport your bike too, but not on the shared shuttle option. You will need the private transfer option which generally costs around 60 euros return per person
